Adagio Maiden Grass

PLEASE NOTE: Plants shipped in winter and early spring may arrive dormant. Deciduous perennials lose their leaves or foliage during winter and may appear "lifeless", but will burst out with new growth in spring!

Adagio Maiden Grass (Miscanthus sinensis Adagio) is a vigorous bunch grass with lovely, slivery, arching foliage. The flowers are fine plumes that emerge with a touch of pink before fading to white and then tan. They're an important feature of this plant which can produce literally hundreds of them at once when mature. It will be at home in formal or informal plantings, but will need a fair amount of moisture. Plant them en masse for an attractive, low maintenance display, or add them to beds and borders. The blooms stay on the plant all winter, so don't cut back the tufts in fall, or you'll be missing out.

Shipping Methods

Orders will be shipped via FedEx Home Delivery.

Orders are generally in route for 2-5 business days (depending on where you live).

We are sticklers about packaging and shipping your order in a way that guarantees healthy plants upon arrival. If plants are damaged on arrival, just let us know and we'll send you new ones or offer a full refund.

All of our plants are container grown and shipped with the soil and roots fully intact. We DO NOT ship your plants bare-root. Being shipped as a containered plant greatly reduces the risk of the plant not surviving the transit to your home.

Zone 10a success

Bought this two seasons ago for zone 10a, (Southeast Florida east coast). The plant is doing well. Not as tall as I would like, but it is a happy plant in our English-style garden. Hopefully, he will get closer to the 4' height I was expecting. It is 2' tall and spreads horizontally slightly. Beautiful plant.

Waiting for them to grow

I package came and the grasses looked dead. I contacted Kristi at Greenhouse and she told me to give it time that they are dormant. Well it’s been a month and I only see growth in 4 out of 8 of the grasses. Next time I will go to a local establishment to make my purchases.

Hi Heather!
Thanks for taking time to leave a review. I just sent you an email. Your grasses were just waking from dormancy when they arrived and what you saw was the previous seasons cut down spent foliage. :) If there is ever a problem or concern please reach out to hello@thegreenhousepnw.com and we are happy to help!
